The Wiener Kammer Orchester was founded in 1946 and has acquired a great international reputation.
The Wiener Kammer Orchester has worked very intensively with conductors such as Carlo Zecchi, Philippe Entremont, Heinrich Schiff, Yehudi Menuhin, Stefan Vladar and others.
The later famous musician such as Daniel Barenboim also made his debut at the age of 9 with the Wiener Kammer Orchester and in 1964 Alfred Brendel.
Joji Hattori has been principal guest conductor since 2018, but the collaboration already started in 2004.
The Wiener Kammer Orchester has its own series such as in the Wiener Musik Verein and also accompanies chamber operas in, for example, Theater an der Wien.
The Wiener Kammer Orchester has performed all over the world. For example, the chamber orchestra could recently be heard in Italy, Greece, and in the previous years in Poland, Portugal, Germany and Japan, but also at international festivals such as Enescu's and Salzkammergut Festwochen.
For 2023/2024, a tour is planned through Germany, Benelux, among others.
