REVIEWS

"He has a precise gesture, a scathing look and an obvious empathy with the musicians. Benoît Fromanger is an astonishing conductor, capable like no one else of mobilizing his troops and making them give the best of themselves. You can guess, when you see him, that he has worked under the guidance of the greatest: Kleiber, Maazel, Bernstein, Haitink, Barenboim, Muti, Mehta ... Fromanger has started a second part of his career in a dazzling way; we were happy and proud to experience this with him. A star is born, that's for sure!"

Philip de la Croix, 2012. Director of Mezzo TV, Director of the Prima La Musica concert season!

The Metropolitan Orchestra conducted by Benoit Fromanger: “a transcendent musical experience.” "Fromanger has the art of transmitting modern orchestral music and making anyone who listens to it fall in love with it. » Roxanne Gadoua, MontrealExpress’, 2019.

“The conductor, Benoit Fromanger, a rigorous artist but so complicit with each of the members of his formation, whose every note he lives, with his heart, his hand and his eyes. We feel them all carried by the pieces performed. It was a delight.”

Bucharest TV, 2018.

“Fromanger obtains a full sound and clear phrasing in all the different groups of instruments, this is perhaps one of the strong points! The baton of maestro Benoit Fromanger, precise and passionate, got the better of his orchestra in a coherent sound, a texture, warm colors and dynamics. From the beginning, the sound of the violins in the adagio was very expressive. Fromanger painted the second movement with a nuance borrowed from visceral melancholy, like the nostalgia of a distant homeland, re-drawing the precious and slow melodies. In short, a great French conductor Fromanger and "more"!

La Capitale de Rosario, 2017.

“There is something happening in music in Toulon!!! "A precise and attentive conductor. Guest conductor Benoit Fromanger, a trained flutist, is the main architect of the success. He did not originate the program but he was able to use his talent to make it a musical success. His main qualities are a perceptible work on nuances and sonorities. The attention to detail was noted by the contrasts that he was able to make evident through a musical ensemble that lent itself to it with commitment and understanding"

Jean François Principiano Toulon, 2019.

"The French conductor Fromanger showed the great sound potential of the orchestra as well as an indescribable variety of nuances. It was a performance of splendid dynamism. Finally, Tchaikovsky's Pathétique Symphony was heard, where Fromanger provided an anthology version, faithfully capturing the author's intentions. The last and heartbreaking movement was the highlight of the concert. The spectators felt moved to tears since this part of the work is considered a farewell to the composer's life. At the end, there was an overwhelming silence that made the audience applaud only when they realized that the conductor had finished the work. It was the best closing concert of an exceptional season. »

Julio César Huertas, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires,2020.

"Benoit Fromanger at the head of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra with his precise and dynamic direction has highlighted all the elegance, sensitivity and lyricism of Spanish music.”

Philippe Depetris, Nice-Matin, 2019.

"The opening concert of the Netherlands Orchestra presents a season opening concert likely inspired by the theme of tormented passion. Under the baton of guest conductor Benoît Fromanger, accompanied by the exceptional presence of cellist Gautier Capuçon, the orchestra will perform three major works from the repertoire by Haydn and Mozart.

The musicians already know the conductor, who has already come to conduct it several times over the last ten years. A good thing for this structure that must regularly change conductor, i.e. range and state of mind, with each concert preparation. Benoit Fromanger leads an international career…. "

L'Essentiel, 2022.
